For several years, as a food writer, I reviewed restaurants & bars in Hackney and on the burgeoning East London food scene. I reported on local food initiatives with a social mission such as the Dusty Knuckle Bakery and food tech concepts like Dish Next Door. I also ghostwrote for The Spectator’s Food & Wine Blog.
My years covering food in London enabled me to witness from up-close London’s changing food landscape and to observe trends in restaurants & dining. It also laid bare the challenges of opening & running a new place in an unforgiving capital city.
